The high-temperature circulating fan is designed to create forced circulation of the heat transfer agent inside the working space of the furnace. High-speed blowing with a heat transfer agent (air) allows to increase the convective heat transfer coefficient on the surfaces of the processed parts and which makes their heating faster and more uniform contributing to the furnace productivity and improving heat treatment quality of processed parts. A high-temperature centrifugal fan is used in a modernized aerodynamic heating furnace (AHTF furnace).
The main specifications of high-temperature fan are the following:
• Fan capacity 16000-18000 m3/h;
• Total pressure under normal conditions up to 2000 Pa;
• Maximum temperature of transmitted medium up to 550 C˚;
• Motor power 22 kW.
The furnace fan of OJSC VNIIMT is equipped with a built-in shaft cooling system and a heat-insulating plug.
To prevent vibrations and ensure the long service life of the bearings and high temperature impeller a vibration test was performed on the fan.
As a result of the aerodynamic heating furnace modernization with the use of a heat-resistant fan, it has become possible to reduce the specific power consumption, to increase the uniformity temperature field in the work space and to improve the quality of products.
